Policies
Early advance reservations will ensure confirmed accommodations, especially in the summer season. However, the island is almost never "sold out," and the unavailability of a car reservation should not be a deterrent to making either advance or last-minute room reservations.

Because of Nantucket's unique location 30 miles at sea, visitors usually make precise travel plans and reserve well in advance. If a confirmed reservation is canceled we cannot depend on drop-in business to book the room. Therefore we must adhere to a formal cancellation policy.
Standard Policy
• A 50% deposit is required to hold any reservation of 2 or more days.
• A one night reservation will require a deposit of the full amount.
• The advance deposit guarantees the entire period reserved.
• Deposits for reservations cancelled or changed less than 3 days in advance of arrival will be forfeited.
• All reservations cancelled prior to the 3 days will be subject to a 10% refund processing fee per room.
• Discount rates may entail more restrictive deposit and cancellation policies, please be certain to understand these details before booking. Consideration of travel insurance is recommended.
