The Annual Daffodil Festival
April 24 - 26, 2009
Nantucket's traditional welcome to spring held in late April, when over 3 million daffodils blooms and turn the countryside into a vivid yellow tapestry. Events include the Annual Antique and Classic Car Parade, and the Annual Tailgate Picnic, as well as activities such as hiking, fishing, bird watching, and seal cruises. The Nantucket Wine Festival
May 13-17, 2009
This May festival provides opportunities to sample some of the finest wines from many great viticultural areas as presented by the wine makers or their representatives and to enjoy events in some of the island's grandest private houses and other places not open to the public. August 15, 2009
At the height of August summer, Islanders and visitors create masterpiece sandcastles and sand sculptures on Jetties Beach. The contest lasts all afternoon and ribbons are awarded in various categories. Nantucket Arts Festival
Fall, 2009
